You are valuable.
It is easy to slip into believing the lie about yourself that your life is not important. That is the greatest tool of any enemy. If they can downgrade you in your own eyes you are easy to deal with. You will fail to show up. First remember, God has never had that view of your life.
Have you ever spoke to a preganat woman’s belly?
Second, God spoke over you in the womb. He said, “I have known you from your mother’s womb. I have been watching and preparing you for a great task. I want to know your heart and spend time with you.” That is what Jesus wants to plant in the heart of all His followers, His interns. “Did I tell you that you look so young and energetic today?”
Second, Jesus said you are valuable. Two of Jesus’ shortest parables are found in Matthew Chapter 13. Listen to them.
44 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.
45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

God paid more for me than I planned.
Third, the Sale price is not the most important.
Have you ever put a house on the market? Most importantly, value is really determined by what the buyer will pay. In your and my case, Jesus was willing to give His life. Value is determined by the buyer. We have had a “hot” housing market and many homes are selling above the list price. Jesus paid more than you think you are worth.

Can you imagine paying above list price for a house?

Jesus paid more for me than I think of myself. He values me.
Finally, we are celebrating God’s love for you this week. Consider the lengths that He went through to find us and purchase us. Go to church this weekend. You can help Him purchase more treasure for the Kingdom. Share God’s power to give new life.

This is the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem. I took this picture. It reminds me that God has more for me than the cross.
Lord, help us live as valued. Lord, help us share that hope with others. For the sake of Jesus. Amen.
