There is a powerful feeling of relief and happiness when we share.

When we live hand-to-mouth, barely getting buy can cause fear to grip our hearts. The converse is also true. Living with an awareness of plenty and sharing lifts our hearts.

It is quite amazing how sharing lifts a person’s heart.

When I share my joys, my life, and my resources, I feel lighter and happier.

Jesus knew this joy firsthand because that was His story. He knew that when He shared His life, His love, His power, it brought Him great joy.

In Matthew Chapter 10, He takes His followers to a new level. He gave them responsibilities as “interns” to go share what He had shared with them. He invited them to avoid self-reliance which causes hand-to-mouth living.

Joy in life.

Jesus’ claim was “I am the bread of life.” Take of me and share it with others. As you head out into your day, take a little of the love you have received from God and share it.

Matthew Chapter 10 says “5 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions:…7 As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.”

They experienced the power that giving away what you have produces room for more joy, life, and giving. Look for an opportunity today to freely give. Maybe you will buy someone something or possibly give a testimony of what God has done for you. Hopefully, you will pray for someone in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Lord, help me to see the opportunities to share Your kingdom and goodness. Heal and deliver hope and life through me. Ignore my fear and strengthen me – that Jesus’ name will be lifted up. Amen.
